    Wadeaf 2015 continues to receive job seekers, and will open its doors for families tomorrow
    Al-Humaidan: the exhibit is attracting a lot of people, and it has plenty of opportunities for job seekers
     
     
    Wadeaf 2015 continues to receive job seekers today, Tuesday October 13, 2015. It is considered as the biggest assembly of companies organized by Asharqia chamber of commerce. It was organized in cooperation with Dhahran Expo, which hosts this exhibit in its location on the Dammam/Khobar costal road. The eastern region governor, his royal highness prince Saud ibn Nayef, sponsors it.  The exhibit will open twice a day, from 10 am to 2 pm and then from 4 pm until  8 pm. Wednesday will be allocated for families, at  the same assigned times. Saleh ibn Ali AlHumaidan, The Human resource committee in asharqia chamber of commerce has asserted that this exhibit has been atracking a huge turn up this year, whether job seekers or companies. He noted that many of the saudi students who has been studying abroad has returned now and are looking for jobs. They came to find out more about the companies that are taking part in this exhibit, especially that they hold different degrees that cater to the market needs.
     
    AlHumaidan said that the work teams of the exhibit would review the data of the registered job seekers after they apply for jobs, to make sure they benefited of the supplied offers, and to evaluate the companies’ response to them.  He noted that this exhibit is considered as a real opportunity of job seekers and called for them to visit it and get to know more about the participating companies.
     
    Yesterday night witnessed the first workshop for males. Al-Rasheed Company’s vice president, Wael ibn Abdulrahman Albassam, conducted it. It was titled “skills for a successful job interview.” He discussed essential skills for having a successful job interview. He mentioned that job seekers should have several information beforehand before heading to an interview, they should know the nature of the job, who is the needed candidate, what sort of industry is it offered in, when was the job offered, in addition to the products and services this company offer and their competitors. He noted that the point of job interviews is to form a first opinion, and to make sure that the info supplied by the candidate are correct, as well as to test their knowledge and experiences and to form an opinion about them. He asserted on the importance of such interview, candidates should be prepared and should update their CVs regularly. He pointed out that having an attractive CV is essential; it will help you attract more jobs. Moreover, job seekers should answer calls confidently, and speak eloquently. They should also make sure they know the place and time of the interview and be there on time, and have all their paper work ready.  Albassam asserted that leaving a good first impression is invaluable. Thus, candidates should pay attention to their attire and attitude, keep a smile, and be ready for any questions that might be asked. He noted that many companies expect the candidates to speak as if they are already employed in this company and to show perseverance and enthusiasm, and should avoid pashing former employers.
     
    Another workshop will be held Tuesday night, from 5:45 until 6:45, October 13, 2015. It is titled “my CV is the way to get a job” and it is for males only. It will be conducted by Mohammed ibn Mubarak baziad, the HR manager in Al-Rashid group. The workshops program will conclude on Wednesday with a workshop for female participants, conducted by personnel management consultant in Saudi Aramco, Mariam Abdullah AlAbdulateef, and titled “my job is my future.” It is worth noting that this exhibit is for all job seekers, whether recent graduates or experienced to compete for jobs and find what fits their needs and capabilities from the supplied jobs in the exhibit.
